Miami and the Beaches — The Most Exciting Destination on the Water
The most exciting destination in the world. Miami and its beaches are a magical blend of sun, style, and sophistication — surrounded by shimmering waters as far as the eye can see. A true paradise for water enthusiasts, Miami offers endless opportunities for adventure, entertainment, and relaxation on the water.
Just moments away, you’ll find other world-renowned destinations such as Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Coral Gables, and Fort Lauderdale — each offering its own unique charm and vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re cruising the coastline or anchoring near the city’s scenic islands, every moment on the water feels extraordinary.
As the gateway to the Florida Keys, Miami is also the perfect starting point for a long weekend escape or a week-long yachting adventure. Choose from our fine selection of power and sailing vessels to experience an unforgettable journey through South Florida’s most breathtaking waters.
Where the city meets the sea. Beginning your yachting adventure in Miami offers an unforgettable experience surrounded by the city’s most iconic sights and turquoise waters. For a half-day cruise, glide past the famous celebrity homes of Star Island, the historic Flagler Monument, and Hibiscus Island — once owned by Al Capone himself. Soak in the sunshine, enjoy the skyline views, and experience Miami’s luxurious coastal lifestyle firsthand.
For those seeking a longer and more adventurous route, journey south under the Rickenbacker Causeway into the azure waters of Biscayne Bay. Here, dolphins play freely, seabirds glide above, and the natural beauty of South Florida shines at its best. The name “Biscayne,” derived from the Spanish “Vizcaya,” dates back to the 16th-century explorers who first charted these waters — a timeless reminder of the region’s rich maritime history.
From celebrity estates to serene tropical escapes, Biscayne Bay and Miami offer the perfect blend of excitement, beauty, and culture — a destination where every cruise feels like a story worth telling.
An unforgettable journey through paradise. There are two main routes for those heading south from Miami to the Florida Keys. The “outside” route offers open-ocean cruising with sweeping views and a true sense of adventure — perfect for calm, clear days. The “inside” route, meanwhile, follows the scenic Intracoastal Waterway, winding through protected channels and serene coastal landscapes, making it ideal when the weather is less predictable.
As you travel deeper into Biscayne Bay, the western shoreline brings you to Dinner Key — home to picturesque marinas, charming shops, and waterfront restaurants near Coconut Grove, one of Miami’s most beautiful and historic neighborhoods. Continuing south, you’ll reach Elliott Key, a long-time favorite anchorage among Miami locals. Today, portions of this area are protected and require special permissions, helping preserve its natural beauty.
Further along, the northern edge of Key Largo welcomes you with the exclusive Ocean Reef Club, followed by a series of pristine islands and anchorages scattered along both the ocean and bay sides. This region is home to the world-famous John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, a protected marine sanctuary offering world-class diving and snorkeling. Beneath its crystal waters lies the iconic bronze statue of Christ of the Abyss, resting serenely among vibrant coral reefs — a must-see for divers and one of the most breathtaking underwater sights in the Keys.
Where the journey is as breathtaking as the destination. On a clear day, the ocean side of Key Largo reveals astonishingly clear waters — a vibrant world filled with colorful fish, graceful sea turtles, and a dazzling variety of marine life. It feels as though you’ve drifted straight into the Caribbean. A power yacht makes it possible to explore Key Largo and return the same day, offering an effortless escape into paradise.
or those who prefer a slower pace, sailing across Biscayne Bay offers an equally unforgettable experience. The bay’s calm waters — though shallow in parts — are perfect for a relaxed sail. There’s nothing more romantic than an evening cruise aboard one of our luxury sailing yachts, complete with dinner on deck and soft music in the background.
The secret? Depart in the late afternoon to catch the sunset from the water, then sail home beneath Miami’s glowing skyline — a sight that transforms the horizon into pure magic.

I organized an executive retreat and did all of this over the phone and email from Omaha, Nebraska! It was such a pleasure! Everything was absolute first class and my group of 7 business men were so pleased with everything! I was told the service of the Captain and crew was exceptional and the yacht was just amazing!!! Thank you Miami Yacht Charters! You truly made this a trip to remember for my CEO and you really made me look good as well !!!!
I bareboat chartered the 38′ Beneteau, Amazing Grace, through Ed Elder at Miami Yacht Charters. I found Ed to be very responsive to my questions and concerns. The boat was presented (and returned!) in excellent condition. Paul Robinson clearly carefully critiqued my sailing resume and make good suggestions about the specific boat for us. During our adventure, the mechanic, Jacob, was readily available and was super helpful with various technical questions. Jacob clearly knew the boat well. I would highly recommend this organization for a boat charter in Miami!
I've been using this company for 10 years, service is excellent, sales office is very friendly and quick to reply to our requests. I highly recommend this. We've used Miami Charters for a birthday party on a private yacht for 6 of our friends with a jet ski and amazing food cooked on board by their personal chef... we also chartered three sail catamarans and held a regatta for a corporate function we had in Miami last Spring. This was super cool! A race, tropical drinks, and a delicious BBQ. We have friends that charter their 84' Lazarra every year to the Bahamas from this company, they love it. My family and I hope to do this next year!
Good Morning. We spoke yesterday as I am the one that was inquiring about the availability of a trawler. I just wanted to thank you for your guidance and advice. It always restores my hope in humanity when I come across someone who genuinely wants to help other succeed.
